A woman jazzed up her boring, built-in wardrobe on a budget - but it has been blasted online for looking 'gross' and 'like something from the 1970s'.
The DIY savvy Brit took to her TikTok @justh966 to showcase the bedroom transformation with her followers.
In the video, which racked up nearly six million views, the influencer wrapped her white furniture in a dark wood vinyl from Amazon.
Originally the homeowner's bedroom furniture was painted over with modern matte black handles attached - however she was 'ready for a change'.
The content creator showed how she cut the adhesive material to size and simply stuck it onto the cupboards, using a hairdryer to smooth out any bubbles.
She wrote: 'This cost me about £40-50 to redo this wardrobe, a shelf and tops of two side tables. I also have some left x'
In the comments she revealed she got the vinyl from Amazon, however she mentioned that B&Q, B&M and The Range all do similar oak wood effect self-adhesive film.

B&Q do a lighter wood vinyl, which is just £8, for a piece which is 2000mm x 450mm.
The description reads: 'Ideal for furniture renovation, lining drawers, covering shelves and drawer fronts, updating home accessories and for arts and crafts.'
The TikToker was delighted with her results after she transformed her muted bedroom into a western-themed cosy haven.
However not everyone was impressed with the update with some saying it was 'gross'.
'Me being a house cleaner I could never, it would get gross and how you gonna clean it without ruining it,' one hit out.
Another said: 'What’s the opposite name for a makeover.'
A third remarked: '70s décor, you'll hate it.'

'I agree,' one penned. 'I was glad to see the back of this stuff.'
However others loved the new look with some saying it made the room look more 'cosy.'
One person wrote: 'Cute, classy and probably saved hundreds'
Another added: 'I've seen these types of tapes go wrong so badly if the installer isn't good at it. Looks horrendous. But this one is quite good.'
Someone else said: 'My mom has a degree in interior design, and she LOVES this stuff! Looks great!!'
It comes after a woman who wanted to update her tired kitchen spent just £302 transforming it herself for a fraction of the price.
Ugne Litvinaite, 29, bought her two-bedroom house in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, almost three years ago.
But recently, she decided she wanted to modernise her kitchen, a room she hadn't touched since she moved in.
However, when shopping around at kitchen fitting companies, Ugne realised it was going to cost her anywhere between £3,000 and £4,500 - a sum she couldn't afford.
Ugne watched several renovation videos on TikTok and decided to give it a go herself. She spent most of June working on her kitchen and spent a total of £302.
Ugne, a manager for an insurance/tech company, said: 'It was definitely cheaper than what I expected. So far I have spent £302 on the renovation.
'I still want to install vinyl flooring which will cost me around another £150. I'm super happy with the results.'
The transformation has included the installation of a boiler cupboard and a wine rack, which cost £170.
Ugne primed and painted the cupboards and a wall for the total sum of £92. She also added new cupboard handles for £22.
The tools used for sanding down the surfaces before priming and painting were borrowed from her dad, so she didn't have to buy any equipment.
The kitchen counters were then wrapped in vinyl, which was a total steal at £18 from B&Q.
Ugne was relatively inexperienced in the world of DIY renovations, but the savings are a good motivator.
She said: 'I recently decorated me and my boyfriend's bedroom. I tried out my skills at doing the panelling which was a lot easier than I thought!'
'Next up is the living room. I've build additional storage and will be repainting the walls and fitting new flooring. Again, something I haven't done before.'
