The Washington Commanders have done a good job this offseason of putting the right pieces around Jayden Daniels as the rookie quarterback is looking to take his game to the next level in Year 2.
Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil have come in with the pair filling and upgrading two key positions of need for Kliff Kingsbury's offense.
But with the draft coming up in the next couple of weeks, the Commanders have a variety of ways to go when it comes to their first-round draft pick. In some mock drafts, another receiver is taken, while others have an edge rusher selected.
For the 33rd Teams, Ian Valentino, in his latest mock draft, the Commanders add to the offensive line with Oregon stud Josh Conerly Jr.
"Landing Laremy Tunsil from Houston was a seismic move for Washington, but their efforts to improve can't stop there," Valentino writes. "Right tackle Andrew Wylie is a stopgap option, and adding a viable long-term option must be a priority. Josh Conerly Jr. belongs in this range as an athletic technician who has seen massive improvements over the last two years."
Offering some position flex, Conerly Jr. was the starting left tackle for Oregon last season and, coming to the Commanders, could be a plug-and-play option for Kingsbury.

Yes, the Commanders do have other needs, but with guard Sam Cosmi out for most of the season after tearing his ACL in the playoffs, another spot has opened up on the line, and maybe it is one that Conerly Jr. could fill.
Things have been going well for the Commanders over the past 12 months, and with Conerly Jr., the franchise solidifies what is an already strong position.
