Wherever a football player lands in the NFL, the habits that were learned during their college days are surely carried over. The Detroit Lions clearly feel this way when it comes to Terrion Arnold. General manager Brad Holmes noted how great the Alabama Crimson Tide were in helping the elite defensive menace in his development.
Terrion Arnold played 16 games for the Lions and even started as their cornerback for 15 of those matchups. Clearly, he was a great defensive presence for Coach Dan Campbell and Co. However, the Lions just cannot take full credit for the Alabama football alum's development.
Brad Holmes noted how Deshea Townsend was a key figure in developing the Lions cornerback, via Mark Inabinett of AL.com.
"I thought Deshea did a great job with him. And, you know, I expected no different. But, yeah, I got a lot of excitement for Terrion," the Lions general manager said.
Throughout Arnold's rookie campaign with the Lions, he put up such solid numbers. The elite defender put up 60 combined tackles with 47 of them being solo takedowns. More importantly, these numbers from the Alabama alum are surely going to go up because of how he treats each day alongside Coach Campbell.
"He's got the right attitude... He's a very coachable player. He cares, he's passionate, he's prideful, so he's going to do the necessary things. He wants to be a great player, we want him to be a great player, so I have no doubt that he's going to continue to develop," Holmes added.
Entering his second year with the Lions, the former Alabama star will surely shine even more as the squad aims to fulfill their Super Bowl aspirations after years of coming very close.
