Man Utd missing five players for Nottingham Forest as Ruben Amorim issues update

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has issued a team news update ahead of facing Nottingham Forest.

The Reds host United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Tuesday (8pm) fresh from booking their place in the FA Cup semi-finals where they will face the Red Devils’ arch-rivals Manchester City.

Forest will quickly turn their attention back to the league with so much at stake in the final nine matches of the season.

They are currently in third place in the table and in the thick of a battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Amorim has confirmed a double defensive boost for his side, with Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro both available to face Forest after spells on the sidelines with injuries.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday, Amorim said: "Luke (Shaw) is not ready yet. We are starting to do some drills with the team but we are building Luke.

"Mason Mount is feeling better but he was on the bench in the last game, Kobbie (Mainoo) is almost ready, Jonny (Evans) is recovering, (Lisandro Martinez) is out. (Harry) Maguire is also ready to go to the game and (Leny) Yoro, yes."

Amorim also gave an update on the fitness of Ayden Heaven, who was carried off on a stretcher against Leicester City before the international break.

"It is not so serious. He is recovering. He is not yet ready to play but he will return this season, for sure," he added.
