Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has revealed Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are back for Tuesday's Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest. But Ayden Heaven, Jonny Evans, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo remain sidelined, along with Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez, the latter out for the rest of the season.

Amorim has been boosted by the return of centre-backs Maguire and Yoro, with the former having missed four games and the latter two, before the international break. “Luke is not ready yet,” said Amorim. “We are starting to do some drills with the team, but we are building up Luke.

“ Mason Mount is feeling better, but he was already on the bench the last game. Kobbie is almost returning, but he's not ready for this game.

”Jonny Evans is recovering, Ayden is recovering, Licha [Martinez] is out, I think that’s it. Maguire and Yoro are ready to go for the game. Ayden's injury was not so serious. He’s recovering. He’s not ready to play, but he’s going to return this season, for sure.”

United signed off for the international break with a 3-0 win at Leicester and Amorim said his players can pick up where they left off, ahead of the final two months of the season.

“You can say that I’m really confident,” said Amorim. “I feel the players are more confident and the energy is different, but this could change with results.

“We're focused on maintaining the energy, we've worked on things to improve, we're in a different moment and more confident for these final two months of the season.

“I don’t know which place we're going to finish, but we are looking up, we want to win games, we still have matches to win so we can finish in a different position, so we have more confidence, we're looking up, we want to win games and that's our focus at the moment.”

Reflecting on United's mini-resurgence under him, after a tough start, Amorim said: “I think it’s also really exciting because we had really tough matches, but we already had that, in the last weeks, that kind of schedule with fewer players, so it’s really important to have the players ready to fight.

“We have to rotate during matches and the different characteristics give us different opportunities to win football matches. It's a very good moment in our season, we have games that are really tough, but the team is ready to face that and the Europa League is a key point in this final run.”
