Everton are back in Premier League action on Wednesday when they travel to Liverpool for the second Merseyside Derby of the season.

David Moyes’ side head into their clash with the Reds looking to extend their nine-game unbeaten run in the top-flight after their 1-1 draw with West Ham last time out on 15 March.

Courtesy of their unbeaten streak, the Toffees sit 15th in the Premier League, but could be leapfrogged by West Ham ahead of kick-off if Graham Potter’s men beat Wolves on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be eager to get back to winning ways after being knocked out of the Champions League and losing the Carabao Cup final before the international break.

Liverpool v Everton preview

Everton have remained unbeaten in the Premier League since their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on 15 January, but they have now drawn each of their last four games.

Toffees supporters may now be left wondering where their next win is coming from, and would love to see the Blues triumph at Anfield.

Last time out, Jake O’Brien’s 91st-minute header rescued a point for Moyes’ men after Tomas Soucek had put West Ham 1-0 up at Goodison Park.

Premier League leaders Liverpool, meanwhile, have won their last three top-flight games but were gutted to lose to Newcastle at Wembley on 16 March.

Team news for Liverpool v Everton

Everton remain without striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is still sidelined amid a largely forgettable campaign.

Meanwhile, Iliman Ndiaye, Dwight McNeil, and Vitali Mykolenko are all doubtful as the Ukrainian suffered a thigh problem on international duty.

Liverpool will be without key men Trent Alexander-Arnold and midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, while goalkeeper Alisson Becker suffered a head injury playing for Brazil.

Where to watch Liverpool v Everton?

The Merseyside Derby at 8:00 PM BST on Wednesday 2 April, will be available to UK viewers on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports+

Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Everton

Everton have gone unbeaten in each of their last two Merseyside derbies and will be determined to do the trick once more.

Meanwhile, Liverpool could lack their usual creativity without Alexander-Arnold, while Gravenberch has been a top performer in the engine room for Arne Slot’s men, but will be forced to miss out on the action.

The two Merseyside clubs last met recently on 12 February when James Tarkowski scored an impressive last-gasp equaliser for the Toffees in a 2-2 thriller.

Everton could yield a hard-fought draw at Anfield this time around, while Liverpool do not head into the game on their best form, but still comfortably lead the Premier League title race.
