If there was one thing the Buffalo Bills and general manager Brandon Beane wanted to accomplish this offseason, it was finding a way to be able to bring in quality talent to solve many of the team's biggest needs on the roster.
Through the first month of free agency, that is exactly what happened with the Bills.
Buffalo brought in several quality players like Joey Bosa and Joshua Palmer while also extending many of their young core as well. While Buffalo still has one more player to re-sign, the team also has one key position left to focus on.
And it's a position group that The Athletic insider Joe Buscaglia believes should be focused on immediately at the start of the Draft.
"The Bills have starters in place almost throughout the entire roster. That is, except for their second cornerback position. Last season's starter, Rasul Douglas, remains a free agent and they traded 2022 first-round pick Kaiir Elam," Buscaglia writes. "Their only move to replenish the position was to sign Dane Jackson, primarily a No. 3 cornerback.
"After striking out on Elam with their top pick and finding several later draft gems at the position, it doesn't necessarily mean the Bills are a slam dunk to use their first-round pick on a cornerback this year."

While not in striking distance for a star like Travis Hunter, the Bills should be able to get their pick of the litter in a deep cornerback class.
Head coach Sean McDermott has also shown an ability to develop players at the position.
So while the cornerback room remains a work-in-progress, the Bills should feel confident in knowing they should be getting some help relatively soon.
