Robert Vilahamn will feel as though Martha Thomas cost Tottenham Women three points against Leicester City Women.
It has been a tough couple of months for Vilahamn’s side, who are without a win since January.
After defeats against Manchester United Women, Arsenal Women and Manchester City Women, Spurs would have been relishing the opportunity to play some teams around them in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
However, on Sunday, 16 March, the North London outfit were beaten 1-0 by Brighton Women at Brisbane Road.
This was followed by a 2-0 defeat to West Ham Women at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on 23 March. Therefore, a win against one of only three teams below them in the WSL felt like a must.

However, Spurs once again failed to pick up three points, drawing 1-1 with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday (30 March), and it is hard not to point some of the blame toward Thomas after the striker’s performance.

Vilahamn has had a lot of joy with the performances of some of Spurs’ goalkeepers this season.
However, the same cannot be said at the opposite end of the pitch, with the attacking players in North London not at their best this season.
Spurs have scored just twice in their last six matches, and based on Thomas’ performance, it is clear to see why. As per Sofascore, the striker had four shots in total, with just one of these on target, and missed two big chances.
Her passing was slightly better, with an accuracy of 80 per cent. However, Thomas also only managed to succeed with 33 per cent of her attempted dribbles, while neither of her crosses into the box were accurate.
Defensively, the 28-year-old also struggled, winning just three of her 10 ground duels and losing both of the aerial duels which she contested.
