David Moyes will want to return Everton to the glory days and get the club back to where they belong.
Everything is pointing the right way in terms of Everton’s future, and Moyes has completely transformed the environment in a matter of months.
The Toffees boss is doing his best to make sure this happens and is doing so behind the scenes as Moyes watched Everton target Maxime Esteve.
This is a signing that could return Everton to Europe, especially with Esteve’s record in the Championship with just eleven goals conceded.
But this is one of just many ways Moyes can make Everton a team competing in Europe, as he also has an advantage from his time at West Ham.

David Moyes says West Ham can help Everton achieve Europe
When Moyes eventually does retire from management, his conference league win with West Ham will stand out above all, but the hope is that he can top this with Everton.
There is a slim chance, but Everton can still achieve European football this season.
What Moyes wants to do is turn that slim chance into an expectation, and he might have just revealed his secret in doing so.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
In an interview with talkSPORT, the Scotsman has suggested he will use ‘inspiration’ from his West Ham tenure.
“I think the league this year’s thrown up a lot of teams who think, ‘Hey, we’ve got a chance of making those competitions’,” Moyes said.
“The year I had at West Ham, we’d just avoided relegation, and the next season, we went on to qualify for the Europa League.
“I’m going to use that as my inspiration in what I’m looking to try and do here at Everton.”

The Friedkin Group and Moyes have to be on the same page at Everton
The last thing fans will want to hear is a clash in personalities behind the scenes when everything is running so smoothly.
It seems as though both owner and manager are on the same page, as The Friedkins’ appointment of Moyes has brought positivity and the Toffees are coming ever closer to securing Premier League safety.
Not only that, but both sides are working together to form a structure at the club, which is certainly something Farhad Moshiri struggled with during his ownership.
There is serious potential in this project and European football could no doubt be on the radar, as not only has he done it before at Everton, but his recent exploits with West Ham prove how he can turn a ship around.
It’s an exciting statement from Moyes, and Martin Keown can see Everton reach Europe soon, so it’s not an ambitious thought at all.
