Chiefs Losing Super Bowl Support With ‘Biological Clock’ Hot Take

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be losing support in their ability to bounce back from the Super Bowl loss with each passing week.

Despite a 15-2 record and another AFC title, the Chiefs were curb-stomped in the Super Bowl, which for most, signals the beginning of the end for their era of dominance.

Granted, it can be easy to forget that just one game of football ago, they were being lauded as possibly the best dynasty in all of professional sports.

For NBC's Mike Florio, in speaking with fellow analyst Michael Holley, who thinks that the Chiefs' biological clock is shrinking their Super Bowl window, he thinks Kansas City's window is already shut.

"The biological clock is already delivered for the Chiefs," Florio said on NFL on NBC.

Now, when you have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid as your quarterback/head coach duo, you are always going to be in the thick of the Super Bowl conversation.

But perhaps the manner in which the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl has given people a reason to doubt them despite winning 15 regular season games.

No, they aren't the high-flying offense team they once were, instead a more balanced roster with the defense perhaps the straw that stirs the Chiefs' drink, but has their window actually closed?

The AFC West isn't the easy road it once was, with all other teams improving this offseason plus the Chiefs have offensive line issues that are yet to be fixed.

But is the Chiefs' biological clock ticking? Florio thinks so, but for us, the franchise has enough credits in the bank to warrant one more year of faith.
