The 2025 NFL draft is a month away, and Ashton Jeanty spearheads a strong class of running back prospects. Omarion Hampton is probably next up, but some teams may want the best option instead. Jeanty is physical, quick and showcases some of the best receiving chops in the class. Taking one look at Ashton Jeanty’s All-22 film shows he’s a difference-maker from day one. Let’s take a look at which teams would be the best fit for Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL draft.
Top 5 Fantasy Football Landing Spots For Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft, Ranked
5. New Orleans Saints
The Saints are sneakily in the running back market. They even landed Jeanty in a recent mock draft, which would be a headache for fantasy football. He would dominate early down work and split with Alvin Kamara in the receiving game. The offense looked to be record-setting to start 2024 until injuries derailed their season. At their best, this offense can be good enough to support two fantasy-relevant running backs. At their worst, this is a headache of a timeshare on a medium offense led by Derek Carr. Not many teams are hunting for running backs in the early part of the first round, but the Saints are the worst option of the bunch.
4. Las Vegas Raiders
Pete Carroll is an old-school, establish-the-run type of coach. He fed Marshawn Lynch in Seattle and would get the same contact balance and home run hitting ability in Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders offensive line isn’t the type to get excited about, but volume and an elevated passing game with Geno Smith make this a viable option.
3. Cincinnati Bengals
This team has holes all over, and Chase Brown is fine. But a trio of Higgins/Chase/Jeanty would keep defensive coordinators up at night. Jeanty would face the least stacked boxes he’s ever seen; even college coaches admitted to stacking the box more than they were trying to win. If Chase Brown can finish as RB10, Jeanty might set the league on fire in this offense.
2. Chicago Bears
The Ben Johnson impact is going to be real for this offense. His system normally uses two running backs, but the backs he’s worked with in the past don’t have the same every-down skillset Jeanty does. If Caleb Williams takes the step forward many are hoping for, Jeanty would just have to fight for D’Andre Swift for targets while rushing for the most yards for a Bears player since Matt Forte. The expectations are high, but Ashton Jeanty is that good of a draft prospect.
1. Dallas Cowboys
No touch competition. High-powered offense with Dak Prescott at the helm. They have a strong enough offensive line that Rico Dowdle was just a 1,000-yard rusher. It’s a popular mock draft spot for a reason, and Jerry Jones is known for his affinity for running backs. Ashton Jeanty fits in Dallas like a hand in a glove and would be a popular pick in the late first of fantasy football drafts over the summer.
