Butch Wilmore, one of two US astronauts marooned in orbit for roughly nine months, has hit back at suggestions that Boeing's Starliner craft “failed” them.

In their first interview since they returned from their nine-month-long space mission, Wilmore (62) and crewmate Suni Williams (59), were asked who was to blame for the botched mission, which was only supposed to last eight days.
