Liverpool face a tough decision on the future of teenage sensation Ben Doak in the upcoming summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds stand to bank a massive profit on the winger, who has spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan with Middlesbrough and is currently out injured.

Doak was the subject of bids from Crystal Palace and interest from Bournemouth in January but Liverpool resisted those overtures.

It has now been widely reported that Everton are considering joining the fight for the Scotland international’s signature.

A big-money sale could help fund Liverpool’s transfer business in the summer window – with Arne Slot’s side planning to be very busy despite their success this term.

Doak left Celtic as a 16-year-old to join Liverpool for a training compensation fee of just £600,000.

Liverpool in very advanced Salah talks

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Monday (31 March) that Liverpool are desperate to keep Mohamed Salah as Trent Alexander-Arnold closes in on an exit.

Reports in the forward’s native Egypt have suggested Liverpool have presented a more financially attractive deal to Salah – with negotiations apparently more advanced than ever.

Sources have told Football Insider that the Premier League‘s top scorer is keen to sign a new deal – with the delay down to the unsatisfactory length of contract offered.
