Alisson could win historic Golden Glove
Even though he’s missed a large volume of games, he has been on call for Arne Slot time and again to ensure Liverpool’s goals-against volume is kept low.
And the former Roma star could be in line for a MOMENTOUS award before the end of the season if his strong form carries on. That’s because Alisson, now within SIX clean sheets of 100 for Liverpool in the Premier League, is in line for his third Golden Glove award.
It’s all the more remarkable given he’s missed eight top-flight matches thus far due to injury. The award, given to the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in the league, has been won on two previous occasions by Alisson.
In 2018/19 and 2021/22, he carried off the accolades - keeping 21 clean sheets and 20 clean sheets respectively. He shared the latter honor with fellow Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson of Manchester City.

This year, Alisson has got some work to do in order to overhaul the current leader. Nottingham Forest No1 Mats Selz has kept 12 clean sheets thus far with Alisson behind David Raya, Dean Henderson and Jordan Pickford - on eight.
If he successfully reins in Selz, then he will become only the SECOND Liverpool goalkeeper to win three Golden Glove awards - after Pepe Reina.

Moreover, if Alisson completes six more clean sheets in his next 23 matches, he will become the sixth-fastest goalkeeper to reach that milestone. Alisson would ALSO become the second goalkeeper to reach that mark - after Ederson.
