Alan Shearer thinks Wolves are now safe, and plenty believe that the current bottom three are all doomed.
And pundit Paul Merson is very much in that camp.

Wolves have had a bad season.
But thankfully for Wanderers the current bottom three have struggled even more.
Ian Wright recently suggested Wolves are fortunate that the bottom three are as bad as they are.
Perhaps in any other season the club would be a lot closer to the drop zone, or even in it.
For Merson though, there is no danger of relegation now for Wolves, as he emphatically told Sportskeeda: “Wolves are more than safe now. They are nine points clear with eight games to go. Ipswich have to win half of their remaining games and hope Wolves never get a point again this season for something to change. That is definitely not happening, so the relegation battle is completely and utterly
done!”

As far as Tuesday night’s game with West Ham goes, Merson is a little less sure, opting for a 1-1 draw.
“I’m going for a draw here,” he added. “We’re going to get many fixtures like this from now until the end of the season. So well have to get used to watching these.”
Wolves and West Ham head-to-head
Plenty of Wolves fans still don’t feel the club are safe despite the current nine-point gap.
But Wolves are certainly in a strong position, and three more points at West Ham would be ideal.
