The Portland Trail Blazers now have seven games remaining in their 2024-25 season. The final 10% of the year is unlikely to be eventful. Portland is, practically speaking, out of the running for a Play-In berth into the 2025 NBA Playoffs. They’re also going to fall somewhere between 8th and 11th in the NBA Lottery odds this year. They’re in a no-man’s land, neither horrible nor good.
This weekend we asked you to discuss how the team should approach the final games on the schedule: sit players, go for wins, or what? You had plenty of thoughts. I also discussed my hopes for the end of the year on the latest episode of my podcast.
Now I want to open the floor to you. What specifically do you want to see from this team in the final seven games? We’re not talking wins or losses, odds or standings. Rather, what items remain on the “show me” checklist? Who do you want to see on the floor and why? Are there any stones unturned, schemes untried, anything for this team left to prove regardless of record?
An example of this might be, “I want to see Toumani Camara shoot more straight-away threes,” or, “I want to see if Kris Murray can handle big minutes.”
Whatever you choose, use your brilliant basketball mind to come up with one or more specific developments to watch for in these games and share them in the comments section below!
