Liverpool can bag an incredibly talented winger at a major discount. Here's the story.

Liverpool are looking to do a lot of business in 2025 and they'll need to find the right deals where they can. That's just the nature of a rebuild on this scale.

Liverpool Transfer News Today: Reds prepare RECORD bid as star is READY to join

The Reds have a series of players who need replacing short-term and long-term - that won't come cheap. The three contract situations take precedence, of course.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk will all leave the club on July 1st as things stand. Liverpool would need to sign new players in each position, without securing any funds to help with that.

The Reds also want a new centre-forward and a new left-back. They may need to sign an extra centre-back, too, as Ibrahima Konate is a wanted man heading into the final year of his own contract.

This will cost an enormous amount of money, then, and Liverpool will hope to bag deals in all the right positions. One of those has popped up - and could see the Reds secure one of England's brightest prospects.

Liverpool and Tyler Dibling

Tyler Dibling has been one of the breakout stars of this Premier League campaign. The teenager is clearly an enormous talent - one Match of the Day pundits have claimed 'is going to be something special'.

Liverpool have been linked and reportedly scouted Dibling recently. They're trying to push themselves into the mix for the winger who is expected to leave Southampton after this season.

The Saints are almost certainly getting relegated, after all, making it very difficult to hold into a talent like Dibling. It's not impossible, of course, and the £100m price-tag slapped on him suggests they're going to try not to sell.

However, TeamTalk understands that Dibling won't actually cost £100m. That's merely grandstanding from the Saints and they're far more likely to sell in the £60m range. That's apparently the 'real' price mentioned privately.

Now, that's still incredibly expensive for someone who will technically be a Championship player once the transfer window opens. But it is the going rate for an incredibly bright English talent.

Our suspicion is that Dibling will cost even less, maybe even sub-£50m, and Liverpool's interest almost certainly depends on what Mo Salah does. If he stays, it'll be tougher to justify a big spend at right-wing.

If he goes, though, Liverpool may fancy locking down their future with Dibling. Especially at such a discount from the public price.
