Liverpool have had an undeniable attacking firepower this season, and Luis Diaz is among the key figures contributing to the goals tally.
The Reds comfortably lead the Premier League in scoring, showing no signs of struggling in front of goal. However, Mohamed Salah’s incredible numbers, 27 goals and 17 assists, highlight a growing concern.
There appears to be an overreliance on the Egyptian star, and Liverpool need more from their other attacking options.
After Salah, Luis Diaz is Liverpool’s second-highest Premier League goal scorer this season, tied on nine goals. However, his recent form has been underwhelming, with just one goal in his last 18 appearances.
This dip has led to increased speculation about Diaz’s future at Anfield, with clubs across Europe and beyond closely monitoring the situation.

Arsenal, Barcelona, and Saudi interested in Diaz
Recent reports have linked Diaz with a potential move away from Liverpool, with Arsenal emerging as a surprise contender for his signature.
The Colombian winger enjoyed an excellent international break in March, scoring in back-to-back games for his country. But as Liverpool fans hope he can translate that form to club football, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested his time on Merseyside may be limited.
“My information at the moment is that there is nothing advanced or concrete in terms of new contract talks at Liverpool,”
Romano told The Daily Briefing.
“My information is that already in January there was some interest from the Saudi Pro League, with clubs approaching Diaz.
He wanted to stay at the club and Liverpool didn’t want to change the squad at that moment, so nothing happened.
But there is already interest from several clubs around Europe in Diaz and also abroad. There’s interest from Saudi, as mentioned, but he’s also appreciated by some people at Barcelona.”
While Arsenal have been mentioned as a possible destination, Romano clarified that there is nothing concrete yet regarding the Gunners.
“I have nothing to report on the links with Arsenal. But let’s see between now and the end of the season what happens with the Colombian winger.”
A summer of change at Anfield
While nothing is finalized, Romano’s latest update suggests Diaz’s departure is becoming more of a possibility. His remarks also hint that Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could be on the move as well.
“It’s still early in this story, but in general there is a feeling that Diaz, as well as Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, could be leaving Anfield in the summer transfer window.
It’s not guaranteed yet, but it’s a strong possibility and one to watch.”
If Diaz does leave Liverpool, the club will need a capable replacement. While Cody Gakpo could naturally step into the left-wing role, incoming manager Arne Slot reportedly wants two quality options for every attacking position.
One potential target to fill the void left by Diaz is Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon. If Diaz departs, Liverpool may accelerate their pursuit of the talented English winger.
Given the uncertainty surrounding Liverpool’s attacking future, the summer transfer window could bring significant changes to the squad.
