Brown GM makes NFL Draft decision

The Cleveland Browns will be dependent on what the Tennessee Titans do at No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. And according to Browns GM Andrew Berry, that is just fine with him.

The Titans could very well end up going with their preferred quarterback in the draft, which could potentially put the Browns in a tough spot should they also be looking to bring in a signal-caller of the future. And currently, all signs point to the Browns doing exactly that, with just one healthy quarterback, Kenny Pickett, on their roster.

On Sunday, Berry was asked whether he would consider trying to trade up with the Titans to make sure they can get their preferred options at No. 1 overall, outlining how any potential trade is “unlikely” in his eyes. Though interestingly, Berry did say that the team is “open to anything” that could be “advantageous” to the organization.

It has been reported that the Titans are expected to take Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. So maybe the Browns aren’t all that sold on Ward as a prospect.

This potentially sets the Browns up to take someone like Shedeur Sanders with the No. 2 overall pick. Or, if the organization isn’t sold on any of the quarterback prospects at the top of the draft, they could instead take who they believe is the best non-quarterback in the draft, which most view to be either Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter.

Ultimately, it sounds like the Browns are still weighing their options with less than a month left before they have to make their selection. But at least for now, moving up appears to be off the table for the Browns unless Andrew Berry has a change of heart.
