Sadyr Japarov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discuss issues of cooperation in Khujand
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Khujand, Tajikistan, on March 31.
The heads of state discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key aspects of the regional agenda, the Presidential Administration reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Sadyr Japarov and the Kyrgyz people on the resolution of issues on the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The President of Kyrgyzstan congratulated his colleague on signing the Border Treaty and the exchange of instruments of ratification on the Treaty on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Sadyr Japarov also noted that Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed a similar Treaty on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border and exchanged instruments of ratification in 2023.
The signing of the Treaty between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on the junction points of state borders will help resolve border issues.
At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening good-neighborly relations, expanding cooperation in various areas and actively developing political dialogue.
Sadyr Japarov arrived in Khujand (Tajikistan) on March 31. A trilateral summit of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was held in the city.
