GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Police are telling residents and those coming to visit for the NFL Draft they’re doing all they can to keep people safe during the Draft.

They’re also highlighting steps they’re taking to protect visitors while navigating Lambeau’s unique location, which is within a residential area

Captain Ben Allen said he cannot believe the Draft will be here a few short weeks and police are dedicated to keeping everyone safe. He wants visitors and residents to know that the Green Bay Police are doing everything they can to keep those attending the draft safe.

They’re also taking steps to address challenges that may come up from parking to human trafficking. Police are also keeping their eyes peeled for any potential threat, saying it takes a team effort to keep such a large event safe.

“We have a very, very robust Intelligence group that is working with us for the draft. to include our local partners, federal partners, some private organizations, and beyond. We haven’t seen anything that’s specific to a threat really of any kind at this point and we’ve been monitoring for quite a while now already,” said Captain Allen.

Captain Allen says he’s also been working closely with the residents around the stadium and they’re thanking them for their collaboration.
