KABUL(BNA): On Monday, hundreds of thousands of Egyptians took to the streets in a powerful display of solidarity with the Palestinian people following Eid prayers. The protests were sparked by widespread concerns over plans to relocate Palestinians, particularly those in Gaza, and were characterized by chants of support for the Palestinian cause and condemnation of Israeli actions.
Demonstrators gathered in cities across the country, raising Palestinian flags and voicing their opposition to displacement efforts. Many protesters expressed their support for a reconstruction plan for Gaza proposed by Arab countries, emphasizing the need for increased humanitarian aid to the region.
The protests reflected a strong alignment with the Egyptian political leadership’s stance on the Palestinian issue, as demonstrators rallied to support the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people. Participants called for an acceleration of aid delivery and reiterated their commitment to resisting any plans aimed at displacing Palestinians.
