This is bad news for the Grizzlies, who are jockeying for playoff positioning in the loaded Western Conference. Memphis will have their hands full; however, they may need to face the Celtics without Boston's top payer, guard Jaylen Brown.

Brown landed on the injury report due to right knee posterior impingement. Because of that, the Celtics have ruled Brown out.
Brown will miss his 16th game of the season.
The Celtics also have their key big man, Luke Kornet, on the injury report. Kornet landed on their injury report due to an illness, and because of that, he has been downgraded to out. Kornet will miss his ninth game of the season.
In the season, Kornet is averaging 5.6 points per game, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 blocks while shooting 67.5 percent from the field in 18.3 minutes of action.
Brown last played on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs, where he scored 14 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting, two rebounds, and four assists in 30 minutes of play.
Throughout the season, Brown has been an integral piece for the Celtics, averaging 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 31.9 percent from three across 59 appearances, logging 34.9 minutes per contest.
Heading into this matchup, Boston is favored on the road with a -5.5 spread. The Celtics have thrived away from home, boasting an impressive 31-7 record, while the Grizzlies have been solid on their own court with a 25-12 mark.
Boston operates with remarkable efficiency, led by star forward Jayson Tatum. While Brown plays a vital role in the team's success, Tatum remains a driving force. Together, they have established themselves as one of the league's most dynamic duos.
