Kylian Mbappé has what it takes to write his name in the Real Madrid history books, according to Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of _los Blancos_‘ Copa del Rey semi-final second leg, which gets underway at 20:30 BST \[21:30 CEST\] on Tuesday, the Italian expressed that the forward could be _“a legend”_ in the Spanish capital.
In his first season in Madrid since a summer move from PSG, Mbappé has netted 33 goals across all competitions – which just so happens to be the number a certain Cristiano Ronaldo bagged in his first campaign with the club.
_“What I wish for Mbappe is that he is capable of achieving what Ronaldo did at Real Madrid,”_ Ancelotti explained, _“and I think that he can do it.”_
_“That means he will be a legend at Real Madrid, like Cristiano Ronaldo is.”_
After matching Ronaldo’s goal tally with a brace against CD Leganés in LaLiga, Mbappé revealed to Real Madrid TV that _“we speak and he gives me a lot of advice”._
_“We know what he means for Real Madrid,”_ the Frenchman added.
Ronaldo, now aged 40, currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr.
