The Buffalo Bills had one aging edge rusher on their roster last season with major injury issues to deal with. While Von Miller dealt with a four-game suspension early in the year, the Bills were able to get 16 games (including playoffs), and six sacks.
In short, Buffalo has figured out a way to keep players with injury concerns healthy for a full season.
That kind of understanding could set the team up nicely to give new edge rusher Joey Bosa the kind of tools necessary to revitalize his career when he needs it most.
At least that is the thought process head coach Sean McDermott is bringing to the table moving forward.
"We've had success before in taking guys, maybe, who had an injury history, perhaps, and have helped them," said McDermott. "[Bosa's] been in one place for give or take nine years, and sometimes [a change] can bode well for, kind of... re-stoking the competitive fire and the juices."

Bosa has played in just 28 games over the last three seasons and hasn't recorded over 10 sacks in a single season since 2021. While he did make a Pro Bowl last seasons, that was in large part due to being an alternate.
It wasn't based on his overall performance.
If the Bills can provide the practice schedule and necessary time on the field to get the best out of Bosa, it could very well put the former All--Pro back on track.
And enhance what the Bills hope to put on the field on defense.
