The regular season is coming to a close and it looks very likely that the Miami Heat are going to jockey for a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament. Coach Erik Spoelstra, however, still has a lot of key players missing in their rotation due to injuries. Duncan Robinson's presence, for one, has been missed quite a lot. Is he slated to return soon?
Coach Erik Spoelstra does not have a clear timeline for when Duncan Robinson is set to return to the Heat rotation. However, the head honcho made it clear that the sharpshooter's injury is not that scary.
He noted that it was not as worse as Robinson's back injury from the 2023-24 season, via Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.
"It's different than last year. We think we will be able to manage it. We want to be responsible and give as much treatment and then appropriate ramp-up," Spoelstra said.
Robinson last played for the Heat during their March 24 matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. He only got 19 minutes of playing time and his numbers were not that great. The Heat only saw him score three points while only knocking down only one out of his field goal attempts. It was evident that he was not feeling well and out of his groove in this game.
The Heat are going to need Robinson's sharpshooting and veteran acumen for their NBA Play-In Tournament games. If all goes well, he could be back for the squad's last homestand for the 2024-25 season.
