WASHINGTON (Kyodo) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said there is communication between his administration and North Korea, which he described as a "big nuclear nation," adding he will probably "do something at some point."

Trump made the statement in response to a question about whether he plans to reach out to North Korea or its leader Kim Jong Un in the near future. "You people hate to hear that, but it's very important" to engage with Kim, the president said.
