Manchester United have a healthy number of options available.
Manchester United will be targeting a third successive victory when they travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
United, who have lost their last two league meetings with the Midlands outfit, signed off for the recent international break with victories over Real Sociedad (4-1) and Leicester City (3-0), meaning they will be keen to pick up from where they left off.
Their 3-0 win over Leicester, sealed via goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes, means they will travel to Forest with the ambition of winning back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season.
Ahead of the trip to the City Ground, United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed centre-backs Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are back in contention. However, the likes of Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo will once again be unavailable.
As ever, Andre Onana is expected to start in goal and maintain his record of starting every Premier League fixture since joining the club in the summer of 2023. He will be hoping to record back-to-back clean sheets in the league for the first time September.
Amorim will be forced into making at least one change to the back-three that started the win over Leicester just over a fortnight ago amid Ayden Heaven's unavailability. The youngster was forced off shortly after half-time at the King Power Stadium and left the ground wearing a protective boot.
Despite the injury not being as serious as first feared, the clash with Forest will come too soon for the former Arsenal man. It means either Maguire or Yoro could come in for him, though they could both find themselves starting if they are both preferred ahead of Victor Lindelof.
Amorim has a big decision to make in the wing-back department as he will be able to rely on the services of Patrick Dorgu in the league for the first time since he was sent-off against Ipswich Town on February 26. He has missed United's last three domestic fixtures and is expected to reclaim his place at left wing-back.
It means Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are poised to fight it out to start in the opposing wing-back berth. Both players have performed well in recent matches, meaning Amorim could have a tough call to make.
Mazraoui, though, attracted praise from Amorim after the win at Leicester and that could see him retain his place. Manuel Ugarte and Fernandes have developed an understanding as a midfield paring lately and could start sandwiched between the wing-backs.
Amorim has big calls to make in the two No.10 positions. Garnacho ended his goal drought against Leicester, meaning he is likely to retain his place, but Joshua Zirkzee will be eyeing a recall at Christian Eriksen's expense. Mason Mount may not be risked from the start.
Up front, Hojlund is highly likely to lead the line after ending his own goal drought against the Foxes. Chido Obi played for the Under-18s last night and will not be involved.
United predicted XI vs Nottingham Forest: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu; Zirkzee, Garnacho, Hojlund.
