Liverpool have 9 remaining games in their crucial pursuit of the Premier League title. Arne Slot’s team currently sit 12 points above second-placed Arsenal and look on course to claim their first triumph in the league since 2020.
On Wednesday, they continue the last lap in their quest for the title with a visit from local rivals Everton. LFC will be looking to make another huge leap with a win against the revitalised Toffees in the Merseyside derby.

Players that trained before crunch Merseyside derby
Arne Slot will be delighted with the presence of Alisson Becker, Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate in training before the Merseyside derby. The trio sustained knocks during the international break, and doubt was placed on their involvement against Everton.
Alisson picked up a head injury while representing Brazil against Colombia while Ryan Gravenberch was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands squad before their double legged tie against Spain.
Ibrahima Konate, on the other hand was subbed off in France’s first leg defeat against Croatia with a suspected injury. Fortunately for Liverpool, the three of them were present in training and high spirits as they prepared to take on David Moyes’ side.
Other key players that were involved in training include; Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Kostas Tsimikas, Darwin Nunez, Virgil van Dijk, Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endo, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones among a host of many others.
AnythingLFC on X reports that “Ryan Gravenberch and Alisson are back in training for Liverpool. As expected, no Trent Alexander-Arnold.”
The Liverpool right-back is still absent as he continues recovery from an injury picked up in the UEFA Champions League Last 16 second-leg against PSG at Anfield.
Liverpool will be aiming to put their woeful last week before the international break behind them, as they went out of the Champions League and lost the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
