Two changes made as ‘ridiculous’ player returns for David Moyes… Everton predicted XI vs…

Everton return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with a huge away trip to their local rivals Liverpool.

David Moyes has had over two weeks to assess his opening months back on Merseyside which has the Toffees on a nine-game unbeaten run.

However, the last four results have all been draws as Everton have missed some opportunities to really climb up the table.

One draw which Everton fans will look back on fondly at is the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park back in February.

Arne Slot praised Everton after their draw at Goodison, with the Blues more than worthy of the point taken.

But the Toffees are going into Wednesday’s game at Anfield with some real injury concerns and a fresh issues coming out of the international break.

Everton News has taken a look at how Moyes could potentially line up his side to face Slot’s side on Wednesday.

However, there has been a double boost ahead of the Merseyside Derby.

Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil returned to training during the international break as the pair near in on their returns.

It is worth noting that McNeil returned to training early on in the break, with Ndiaye only being spotted towards the back end.

But the Senegal international’s injury was nowhere near as severe as McNeil’s who underwent surgery.

Moyes now has the intriguing decision as to whether either will make their return on Wednesday night.

Vitaliy Mykolenko injury blow

Although there has been positive news on Ndiaye and McNeil, there has been some conflicting news on left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko.

The 25-year-old spent his break away with the Ukraine national side, but he suffered an injury in their first game against Beglium.

Ukraine’s manager said Mykolenko’s injury was serious, and the left-back returned to Finch Farm for scans to assess the extent of the damage.

A real blow for Everton who only have one senior left-back available.

However, Mykolenko’s scans returned positive results with the issue not being as severe as first thought.

Whether he is fit enough to play on Wednesday remains to be seen.

Jarrad Branthwaite to answer transfer questions

It has not been the international break Everton will have wanted for their star defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

After missing out on Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, Branthwaite has been linked with an Everton exit.

However, the 22-year-old has an opportunity to silence some of the noise by putting in another brilliant showing against the Reds.

Branthwaite looked happy in Everton training over the weekend, with the transfer noise clearly not affecting his performance.

Everton predicted XI vs Liverpool: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Young; Garner, Gueye; Harrison, McNeil, Alcaraz; Beto.
