West Ham United have to strengthen their squad before this summer’s pre-season tour of the USA.
The main remit for Graham Potter will be to add some real dynamism, energy and youth to his ranks at West Ham.
It is clear that one area in particular where West Ham are lacking is the centre-forward department.
Potter has to change all of that this summer by bringing a top-class striker to the London Stadium.
He obviously needs to bring in an elite centre-back and a midfield powerhouse as well.

Ideally, Potter will make those signings before the start of our tour out in America.
As things stand though, the Hammers’ business could be slower and not as efficient as the fans would like.
Niclas Fullkrug could be West Ham’s only striker for USA tour
Hammers hitman Niclas Fullkrug has experienced an incredibly difficult debut campaign in England.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Niclas Fullkrug admitted last week that he’s extremely dissatisfied at West Ham right now, and it’s little wonder as to why.
Injuries have played havoc with his chances of succeeding with the Hammers.
West Ham signed the 32-year-old from Borussia Dortmund for £27 million eight months ago (BBC).
However, he may well not be finished at the London Stadium just yet.
According to The Athletic, there is a real chance that Fullkrug could be the Hammers’ only recognised striker for the pre-season tour of the USA.
Judging by that report, it seems like Evan Ferguson won’t be joining us permanently, whilst Michail Antonio‘s future at the club looks bleak as well.
It also seems like West Ham’s hopes of signing Jonathan David on a free transfer might not be that realistic.
That’s good news for Fullkrug, but terrible news for West Ham.

West Ham will make their way out to the United States in July for matches against three Premier League teams – Manchester United, Everton and Bournemouth.
The Hammers will play games in New Jersey, Chicago and Atlanta.
First up on July 26th is a clash with Manchester United at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – an arena with a capacity of 82,500.
Next up, the West Ham players will travel to Chicago, Illinois to take on Everton at Soldier Field on July 30th – a 61,500 capacity stadium.
And finally, the Hammers will head to Atlanta, Georgia for a clash with Bournemouth at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium on August 3rd – a 71,000 capacity arena.
Growing the fanbase out in America can only be a good thing for the Hammers.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, they may only have one recognised striker for the trip in the form of Niclas Fullkrug.
