'They have...' Nuno Espirito Santo gives verdict on Manchester United ahead of Premier League clash

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has earned his players about the “quality” of Manchester United’s players ahead of their Premier League clash on Tuesday night.

Looking for back-to-back wins in the Premier League, Manchester United are back in action after the March international break.

The Reds were given the weekend off as they’re no longer in contention to win the FA Cup after being knocked out by Fulham on penalties in the fifth round.

Nottingham Forest welcomes United to the City Ground in what has been an amazing season for Nuno Espirito Santo and his players. They recently booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals, and on top of that, they’re sitting third in the Premier League table.

However, before the break, United started to improve as fans were gifted with better performances and results against Arsenal, Real Sociedad and Leicester City. Their only chance of winning silverware comes in the Europa League, which would act as a pathway back into the Champions League despite falling short domestically.

Forest could be without some key players, but United as underdogs know Nuno’s high-flying side will provide a tough test.

We have reached the business end of the season.

Although United’s objective – after many setbacks — in the Premier League is to finish the campaign in the top half of the table, Forest will be trying to clinch a spot in the top four.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the match, Nuno stressed that United have “quality” players who can cause his team problems.

“Tomorrow [Tuesday] is going to be tough, Man United are a good team, good players, good coach,” Nuno said. “But you are at home, so we are confident.

“The quality of the players, the quality of the squad.

“You can see the quality of Man United players all over the pitch, they have options and good options and solutions.”

It bodes well that Bruno Fernandes starting hitting top form before the international break, as well as the fact Rasmus Hojlund ended his goal drought in United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City.

Manchester United seek revenge against Nottingham Forest

Manchester United have already suffered a defeat against Nottingham Forest this season.

The Reds will be hoping to start the game a lot stronger this time out after conceding an uncontested header from Nikola Milenkovic within the first 90 seconds.

United responded well with Hojlund getting on the scoresheet as he pounced on Alejandro Garnacho’s saved shot.

Unfortunately for Ruben Amorim, the second half started like the first half began, with Forest taking the lead before adding a third to make it 3-1.

Fernandes pulled one back to give United some hope but it wasn’t enough as Forest took all three points.

It was one of many poor results suffered by United this season and Amorim will be seeking revenge on Tuesday night.
