Reliable journalist drops encouraging injury update on Liverpool ace before Everton

**Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has confirmed that Conor Bradley is not definitely out of the Reds’ vital Merseyside derby clash with Everton on Wednesday evening.**

The Premier League leaders are preparing for one of their biggest games of the season, as their local rivals make the trip to Anfield.

The 2-2 draw at Goodison Park back in February was a tough one to take for Liverpool, given the dramatic nature of James Tarkowski’s last-gasp equaliser, so an element of revenge will be in the air.

More importantly, though, the Reds will know that victory over Everton will be another step towards Premier League title glory, as they look to fend off Arsenal.

Speaking in his pre-derby press conference on Tuesday, via reliable journalist David Lynch on [_X_](https://x.com/davidlynchlfc/status/1906985626693402857), Slot confirmed that Bradley is not definitely unavailable for Wednesday’s game, having been out with a hamstring injury:

_“Conor Bradley back involved in training but a late decision to be made on whether he will be involved against Everton. Ryan Gravenberch and Alisson both expected to be available.”_

This is encouraging news for Liverpool, with [Chris Sutton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c1e1vql584lo) once hailing Bradley’s qualities as a footballer, saying:

_“We don’t want to go too early on Conor Bradley, but when someone comes into a team of Liverpool’s stature then of course there is always comparisons. The early signs are he looks sound defensively and then his goal was so impressive with his composure and how he found the far corner._

_“He barely wasted a pass and looks like a really mature player. Physically he looks excellent and, like all the Liverpool players, he can really handle the ball.”_

With Trent Alexander-Arnold ruled out of Wednsday’s match, this update will come as a boost to Slot, even if Bradley ends up not being available.

It looks most likely that Jarell Quansah will continue at right-back, as was the case in the EFL Cup final defeat to Newcastle United last month, but with all due respect to him, he isn’t fully comfortable in that role.

If Bradley were able to make the squad against Everton, it was would be fantastic, although it is important not to rush him back if he isn’t ready.
