Manchester United and England icon Wayne Rooney did not include himself in his all-time ultimate XI, but it did feature four of his fellow Red Devils legends.
Wayne Rooney is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League strikers of all time and the Manchester United legend had a sensational playing career.
Sir Alex Ferguson brought the 39-year-old former United and England striker to Old Trafford in 2004 after Rooney was snapped up from boyhood club Everton.
Rooney smashed Sir Bobby Charlton’s record after the former Everton star eclipsed his fellow Red Devils and England legend as United’s all-time leading scorer.
The former United and England skipper scored an impressive 253 times for the Red Devils in 559 matches and Rooney also picked up 140 assists for the club.
During his time at Old Trafford, Rooney lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, a Europa League, an FA Cup and three League Cups.
Rooney’s legendary playing career came to an end in 2021 after a brief spell with Derby County and he wasted no time entering the world of management.
