‘WHY??’‘I Forbid Arsenal To Do This’‘Another Willian’Fans Unhappy As Sky Reporter Reveals Talks With Ex-City Star

Arsenal are keen on snapping up Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane on a free transfer, according to reports in Germany.

Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that the Gunners hold a “serious interest” in the former Manchester City player. With the forward’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Mikel Arteta’s side are free to hold discussions with Sane directly and it is believed that “concrete talks” have taken place already.

Sane has been in good form

While some fans may question the value of signing a player who will turn 30 at the start of next year, the German international’s performances show that he is still a force to be reckoned with.

Sane has racked up 11 goals and contributed 4 assists in 36 appearances this campaign despite only starting 19 games.

Arsenal are also pursuing other wingers

It should be pointed out that Sane is not the only wide forward who has been linked with a move to the Emirates in recent months. Arteta is known to be a massive fan of Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

However, the Spaniard would cost around £48m while Sane is available on a free. Those funds could be devoted to signing a No.9 instead.
