Everton press conference LIVE - Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil injury latest, Liverpool preview

Hello and welcome to the ECHO's live coverage of David Moyes' press conference to preview Everton's Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Blues boss' return to the Finch Farm media room signals the end of a prolonged break. It's been two-and-a-half weeks since his side last took to the field, when a last-gasp goal from Jake O'Brien rescued a draw against West Ham United.

Everton were well below their best on the day, although the result ensured they extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to nine matches. They are now 17 points clear of the relegation places, too.

A trip to Anfield represents arguably the biggest challenge in the Premier League this season, though. Liverpool start this set of midweek fixtures 12 points clear at the top of the table, although the Blues did earn a dramatic draw with their neighbours in the previous meeting between the teams at Goodison Park.

Moyes will no doubt be asked about that memorable night, as well as the fitness of a number of key players. Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye returned to training during the break, giving the Everton manager a potential huge boost in attack.

The press conference is set to start at 1.30pm. Stick with us for build-up, live updates and reaction from Finch Farm.
