PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Freshmen guard Dylan Harper has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft.
"I want to say thank you to my mom, sister, agent, all my family, coaches, trainers, and people that have been there for me since day one," Harper said in a live interview with Malika Andrews of NBA Today on ESPN. "With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft."
Harper was recognized as third-team All-Big Ten, and the conference's all-freshmen team after amassing 564 total points the most for a freshman in a season in school history. Harper averaged 19.4 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
He had many incredible performances this season including scoring 36 points against Notre Dame, 37 vs. Alabama, and a triple-double vs. Columbia on Dec. 30, RUs since Roy Hinson in 1983. Harper hit the buzzer-beater to defeat in-state rival Seton Hall on Dec. 14.
"I'll remember all the life lessons this season," Harper told ESPN. "The ups and downs and good and bad. Staying leveled."
The NBA draft combine will be held May 11-18 in Chicago, and the draft will be June 25-26 in New York City. Harper looks forward to what he can bring to an NBA team at the next level.
"NBA teams saw I am an all-around player," Harper said. "I can do whatever it takes to win. Whether it's score, defend, or facilitate. Anything Coach needs me to do."
