Leny Yoro says 17-year-old Manchester United teammate can be“one of world’s best”

Chido Obi-Martin has played four times for Manchester United’s first-team this season.

He’s already shown glimpses of his ability to get into the right positions in the final third, impressing in his cameo against Fulham in the FA Cup.

All of this happened after he scored 12 times in all competitions for Manchester United’s youth sides this season.

As hype continues to build around the former Arsenal youngster, some praise has been sent his way by teammate Leny Yoro.

The Frenchman spoke to ViaPlay about Chido and stated his belief that the teenager could be one of the best in the world one day.

Yoro said, as relayed by TipsBladet: “ Chido is talented. He can become one of the world’s best strikers in my opinion, if he continues his development. He scores a lot of goals and is a good boy, so I also hope that he will become one of the best.”

Yoro is eager for the 17-year-old to get off the mark for the Manchester United first-team soon.

The defender, himself just 19-years-of-age, said: “He has had his chance in a few games, and I of course hope that he will soon open his goal account in the first team. That will help the team.”

Manchester United have a tough run-in towards the end of the season and since they are already in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, they could look to put all their eggs in one basket.

This could mean that Chido gets more game time in the Premier League and as a result, it will help him gain further experience.

And, as his slightly older teammate Leny Yoro hopes, it could see him hit the back of the net.
