Arsenal to offer key player‘mega money’new deal

Arsenal could be boosted by the return of Bukayo Saka when they face Fulham on Tuesday night.

The Gunners have been without their talismanic winger since the end of December after the England international suffered a hamstring injury.

Saka could return to Mikel Arteta’s side for the visit of the Cottagers, though, and – perhaps more importantly – for their Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid later this month.

Arsenal’s form has dipped since Saka suffered his injury late last year, with the Gunners dropping points in five of their 12 Premier League games since.

The Englishman’s return will therefore be a welcome boost for the club’s supporters, and it appears that the player himself could also soon be handed a boost.

As per Football Insider, the North London outfit are set to offer Saka a lucrative new contract.

The report claims that Arsenal intend to hold talks with the player and his representatives in the coming weeks, with a view to agreeing a new long-term extension to his current contract.

Saka is in line for a lucrative new deal

Saka’s current deal is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but the report suggests that the club will offer the player a ‘mega money’ new deal.

Having progressed through the Gunners’ youth academy, Saka has now played 250 times for his boyhood club across all competitions.

He has scored 67 goals in that time, as well as registering 64 assists, including a combined 23 goals and assists so far this term.

Saka’s absence has highlighted a lack of cover in the right wing position in Arteta’s squad, although their injury woes have been intensified by the absence of both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

Teenager Ethan Nwaneri has impressed while deputising for Saka, but the England international will return to action against Fulham if passed fit.
