Arsenal hold strong interest in one of the world’s best strikers. They can opt to make a move in coming weeks in order to land him this summer. Andrea Berta is expected to play a major role in the pursuit.
Gunners are keen to sign a striker this summer. Mikel Arteta views improving number nine position as the top-most priority. He will be backed by the board as the North London giants are keen to end their drought of Premier League title. The Spaniard even announced recently that it will be a big summer window.
Arsenal have Alexander Isak as their top priority. But, the Sweden international may cost as high as £150 million. They also have eyes on Benjamin Sesko who plays for RB Leipzig. But, as per the latest reports the North London club hold strong interest in another Swedish striker.
Arsenal hold strong interest in Viktor Gyokeres
According to David Ornstein, Gunners are developing strong interest in Viktor Gyokeres. He added that the new sporting director Andrea Berta is the huge admirer of the 26 year old. Lastly, Ornstein also added that Gyokeres is more realistic option for Arsenal than Isak.
Gyokeres is surely one of the best strikers in the world right now. Since the begining of last season, he has played 92 games for Sporting. In those, Gyokeres has scored 85 goals and picked 24 assists. He has so far played 26 games for Sweden national team and has registered 15 goals along with 6 assists.
Gyokeres has experience of playing on English soil. This will come as an added advantage for Gunners. He has €100 million release clause but Sporting are now prepared to let him leave for lower fee. It is said that fee around €75 million to €80 million will be enough for Arsenal to land the Swedish goal-scoring machine.
