Forest face Man Utd on Tuesday

Reds looking to extend unbeaten run

Forest Preview has everything you'll need to know ahead of kick-off

Nottingham Forest return to Premier League action on Tuesday evening when the Reds welcome Manchester United to The City Ground (kick-off 8pm).

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side go into the match fresh from booking a place in the semi-final of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday following a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Prior to the international break, Forest secured three Premier League points at Portman Road with a 4-2 win against Ipswich Town, extending our unbeaten run to three games in the league.

Meanwhile Ruben Amorim’s side recorded a 3-0 win at Leicester City before the break having progressed to the quarter finals of the Europa League days earlier.

Nuno’s team claimed the three points when the two sides met at Old Trafford in December. Goals from Nikola Milenković, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood secured the win for Forest.

In this fixture last season, Gibbs-White’s goal six minutes from time Trentside was enough for a 2-1 win against the Reds Devils in NG2.

Jared Gillett - officials

Jarred Gillett has been selected to officiate Forest’s Premier League match against Man Utd at The City Ground.

The official has previously taken charge of one fixture involving Forest in 2024/25, that being our trip to Newcastle United in late February.

His one fixture involving the Red Devils this season came in the Community Shield in August when Manchester City claimed the silverware after a 8-7 penalty shoot-out win at Wembley.

Gillett has officiated 10 Premier League fixtures this season, with the most recent being Aston Villa’s 1-0 win at Brentford on March 8.

He has dished out 44 yellow cards in those games, pointing to the penalty spot on two separate occasions.

Assisting Gillett in the east midlands will be Darren Cann and Marc Perry. Sam Barrott has been selected as the fourth official with Michael Salisbury on duty for VAR.
