Brock Purdy might not see more dough in his account as he wants to, according to recent reports from San Francisco 49ers General Manager, John Lynch. After the NFL Annual Meeting on Monday, Lynch stated to reporters that negotiations with Purdy about his contract. However, it is unlikely that the team might cater to all of Purdy’s demands, especially since he is asking for a major pay.
It is also true that the 25-year-old quarterback is only at the receiving end of a teensy payment when compared to other star quarterbacks. In this NFL season, Purdy will earn $5,365,253, while other quarterbacks are earning multiple times more.
“Brock wants to be with us. We want Brock to be with us. When that’s the case, these things typically get done. Does it happen this offseason? I don’t know. Hopefully, it happens real soon this offseason. I think that’s the extent of getting into those things. Like I said, there’s motivation on both sides, and that’s always a good thing.” John Lynch said to reporters after the NFL Annual Meeting on Monday.

Brock Purdy Uses Scripture To Combat Negative Thoughts About Identity
While his contract negotiations might not exactly end up as he hopes to, QB Brock Purdy seems to be holding on to his key to get him through difficult times – Bible scripture. In a recent interview with Matt Forte on Sports Spectrum, Purdy opened about his struggle with his identity, especially in terms of his sports performance.

His struggle may be real, but Purdy admitted that he clings on to various Bible verses, especially Galatians 2:20. Prudy stated that the particular verse got him through the previous NFL season, in which the San Francisco 49ers finished fourth in the NFC West with six wins and 11 defeats.

The team’s postseason hopes were eventually dashed when they lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the first week of this January, 47-24. Purdy also discussed being ‘overlooked’ and being labeled ‘not good enough’. However, his stats and records with the San Francisco 49ers have easily proved his haters wrong.
