The Greysouthen star is enjoying a stunning season with Championship contenders Burnley.
Trafford, who has kept 27 clean sheets in 38 second-tier appearances, has also been linked with top-flight clubs such as Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old’s impressive campaign saw him named in Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, with Trafford on the bench for games against Albania and Latvia.
The former Carlisle United academy prospect believes he is destined to play at the top level again, having tasted life in the Premier League last season with Burnley.
“I believe I’ll be in the Premier League next season,” he told the BBC.
“It’s where I want to play, it’s obviously the best league in the world. I wanted to get there as quickly as I could and it took two years on loan to develop.

“I’ve really enjoyed this season in the Championship, but next season I believe I’ll be playing in the Prem.”
Trafford, who left Carlisle for Manchester City aged 12 before joining Burnley in 2023, has also reflected on his England call-up.
He was one of four keepers selected by Tuchel, along with fellow Cumbrian Dean Henderson plus Jordan Pickford and Aaron Ramsdale.
Trafford was the only Championship player to be selected and he added: “It's good to get recognised for what you're doing at your club - to get picked was and is a goal of mine, and to play [is a goal too].
"I knew it was extremely tough to get called up playing in the Championship but only I could get myself called up, so I tried to perform and it's good recognition for the club and for what we're doing together in the defence and the team.
"It's a very welcoming atmosphere [with England] because they're all really nice, normal people and they're very welcoming because they want to achieve the same goals, so it's positive.”
Trafford’s Burnley are third in the Championship, outside the automatic promotion places on goal difference and two points behind leaders Sheffield United with seven games left.
