Antony has been given a new lease of life at Real Betis and is doing everything he can to make the fans and media there like him.
On top of good performances, the Manchester United owned player has been stopping for the media in his car daily after training, and spending time doing such duties whenever he can.
For example, today there was a group of elderly fans lined up outside a nursing home for when he went by, and the Brazilian stopped to have pictures with them.
It all adds to the feel-good factor following Real Betis beating Sevilla in the local derby at the weekend, the first time they had for a while.
That prompted Antony to parade around the pitch carrying a Betis flag, and for Isco to jokingly suggest crowdfunding could be used to fund his stay from Manchester United.
Stopping for the media pack again today, the Manchester United player was asked his plans beyond the end of his loan at Betis, and of course whether he wants to stay at the club.
In response, [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/20250401/1002436997/le-ganamos-madrid-imposible-ganar-barca.html) quote him as saying: _“I’m very happy here, but it’s still too early to decide. I enjoy every day in the Betis shirt. I identify a lot with the fans because of the feeling; we Brazilians are like that too.”_
Real Betis would like to keep him and Antony would almost certainly like to stay. The big question is how much money the Brazilian would be prepared to give up, and what Manchester United would settle for.
