NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Saints will be back on Airline Drive for training camp this summer. At the NFL Annual Meeting, Saints head coach Kellen Moore confirmed they will practice at their facility in Metairie.
“We will spend some time in Louisiana. The exposure to the heat, I think there’s value to it, just getting accustomed to that. Training camp isn’t the easiest thing in the world. There will be some challenges with the heat, but that will be a good thing for our team,” said Moore.
Last summer, the Saints held their training camp in Irvine, CA on the campus of Cal-Irvine University. The Black and Gold were doing a renovation on the indoor facility, necessitating the move to California.
Coach Moore did bring up the possibility of joint practices this summer with another NFL team. New Orleans has held joint practices with the Chargers in California in the past.
