Chelsea plot ‘major acquisition’ for centre-forward position
According to The Athletic, an important part of Chelsea’s transfer plan this summer includes signing a new striker.

Without a doubt, the striker is one of the key areas in any top team. Chelsea simply need to find a reliable goalscorer to lead the line and fire them to silverware.

Chelsea looking at plenty of striker options
The Athletic’s report mentions that Chelsea are looking at five or six different centre-forwards as a potential target.
They mention RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, Lille’s Jonathan David and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap as possible options.
Delap is intrigued by Chelsea’s project as his name continues to be linked with the Blues. The fact he’s already scored 10 Premier League goals this season in a struggling Ipswich side definitely highlights his quality and potential.
As for Leipzig’s centre-forward, Chelsea scouts have watched Sesko throughout the season. He’s scored 17 goals across all competitions to date.
