Newcastle United wonderkid nets his sixth goal contribution in four games as U21s defeat…

Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup winners return to action on Wednesday against Brentford.

The Magpies must turn their attention back to the Premier League, as Brentford get set to arrive at St James’ Park.

It is a pivotal game for Eddie Howe’s side, as they look to build on their Wembley momentum and finish the season strongly. If they do that, they will be well placed to qualify for the Champions League.

For Newcastle United fans, it is the first chance to see their team in action since they made history on March 16th.

However, one of Newcastle’s famous trophy winners has already been in action for the Magpies.

Sean Neave on fire after winning the Carabao Cup with Newcastle United

While Howe is preparing his players for the Brentford game, Sean Neave has been in action for the club’s Under-21s side.

The 17-year-old started against Nottingham Forest Under-21s in a Premier League 2 contest on Monday night, helping the young Magpies win 3-2.

It was a productive night for the teenager, with Neave scoring and getting an assist. He has now got six goal contributions in four Premier League 2 games, as his incredible run of form at youth level continues.

His goal was a sublime finish too, dancing past a Nottingham Forest defender before lifting the ball over the goalkeeper. It was the type of finish that Alexander Isak would be proud of.

Neave’s Under-21s heroics come after he was part of the Magpies’ Carabao Cup celebrations on Saturday. He was on the open-top bus and at the Town Moor with the rest of the first-team, having been on the bench for the win over Liverpool.

Despite being yet to make his senior debut, Neave got a Carabao Cup medal. It will hopefully be the first of many for him in black and white.
