Paul Pogba has been offered the chance to reunite with a former Manchester United teammate as part of a shock return to football. The 32-year-old midfielder was provisionally suspended in September 2023 after a random drug test found increased levels of testosterone in his system.
Pogba was handed a four-year ban in February 2024. The France international appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and his sanction was reduced to 18 months, making him eligible to return to first-team training in January.

But, before he could lace up his boots and play competitively again, Juventus terminated his contract – which wasn't set to expire until June 2026. Pogba has been on the free agent market for a while now, and he's still without a club.
However, the Frenchman could soon make his return to football. While on commentary duty for Sky Sports on Monday night, KSI revealed that he wants to talk to Pogba about a sensational move to Baller League UK.
When asked what player – past or present – he'd like to see at the Copper Box Arena in London, the social media influencer said: "There's someone I'm looking to talk to. Pogba. I just want to chat to him, see where he's at. I think Pogba would be a fantastic wildcard."
He added: "We got [Joleon] Lescott today. Bro. I'm like, 'Bro this is crazy'. I'm excited to see what we can do in the future."
While a move to Baller League UK would send shockwaves across Europe, Pogba wouldn't be the first United player to feature. Josh Harrop, who scored on his Old Trafford debut in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in May 2017, was drafted by Clint419 for FC Rules the World.
Interestingly, not only was that his only ever appearance for United, but he was goal was assisted by Pogba. The duo only shared the pitch for 45 minutes, and yet they combined brilliantly to lead José Mourinho's side to victory.
Given that Baller League UK only runs until June 11, any potential swoop for Pogba could see him lining up for a new team imminently - should he agree to a move and sign an agreement with KSI.
Nevertheless, speaking to reporters during the international break, Didier Deschamps confirmed that he's held talks with Pogba ahead of his return to football. The France boss said: "He's supposed to be able to play again, but he doesn't have a club.
"We're talking, and I won't tell you the details. Yes, he has the ability and the mentality to return to the highest level. It won't happen overnight, but for the moment, he hasn't made a decision. We'll see."
Pogba recently shared his ambition to play for his country again. The Frenchman said: "The French team are exciting and I'm a big fan of them already. I can't wait to see how they further develop and win a future World Cup - hopefully with me as a team-mate."
In an interview with Sky Sports back in October 2024, Pogba insisted that he wants to return to the top level. He said: "I don't want to lose the level I am at. If I can surpass it, this is what I want.
"I'm still the same player but with a different hunger. I am more motivated. I am more hungry. I will appreciate the game more than before after it was taken away from me.
"I realised how important it was for me. I tasted what life is after the career," added Pogba. "My vision is to show I am a footballer. A new Paul Pogba with the same qualities. I am still ready.
"I have to be ready and I trained for this moment so there wasn't a big gap to the other guys. It will take time, I know that, but I always motivate myself. I want to be ready and play."
