Manchester City star videoed hobbling into Barcelona hospital on crutches – Further concern

Manchester City star Erling Haaland has been spotted at a hospital in Barcelona for medical tests on the ankle injury picked up against Bournemouth.

[El Chiringuito](https://x.com/elchiringuitotv/status/1907082682023944422?t=hqDgWG-6N49X7lJEaPQM-g) provide video footage of the Manchester City striker today, entering the unidentified hospital in Spain on crutches ahead of apparent scheduled medical tests.

Haaland limped out of the win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Sunday and there were initial fears he was set for a long-term injury.

He was later spotted in a protective boot and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed today that he is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

The belief is that the Norway international will miss the remainder of the Premier League season with the injury, although initial estimates were for a seven-week absence that could see him at least return for the Club World Cup in the United States in June.

However, the latest footage of his trip to Barcelona for further tests would hint that Manchester City believe the injury may be worse than they are admitting to publically.

It is certainly strange for them to send Haaland for further tests in another country at this point unless they are concerned about the injury and even perhaps considering surgery.

That information will surely be coming out in the coming days but for now it’s more concern for Manchester City and the striker.
