The Premier League has confirmed it will release all fixtures for the 2025/26 season at 9am BST on Wednesday, June 18.

That is when dates for all 380 matches will all become public.

The latest announcement comes four months after they confirmed dates for the upcoming campaign.

As such, Manchester City and Manchester United already know their opening matches will be over the weekend of August 16.

Then, eight months later, their seasons will conclude on Sunday, May 24.

That start date comes 83 clear days after the 2024/25 season ends on Sunday, May 25, which is said to allow for the maximum available player rest time.

However, City's campaign will not conclude until at least a month later because of the Club World Cup this summer and potentially extend to 13 July if they reach the final.

The end date is Sunday, May 24, to ensure the season finishes before the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period.

The mandatory release period starts on Monday, May 25.

However, if either City or United reach the final of a UEFA competition, they can have an exemption, subject to FIFA's approval, until May 30.

That is the date of the 2026 Champions League final, with the Conference League final scheduled for three days before on May 27.

Also, as part of their announcement, the Premier League confirmed there would be five midweek rounds, with the other 33 matches initially scheduled on weekends.

Their schedule is also said to allow more rest time for players over the festive period.

They claim no two rounds will occur within 60 hours of one another in line with commitments to clubs about addressing the congested Christmas and New Year schedule.

The Premier League also acknowledges that no fixtures will be on Christmas Eve, December 24, this year.

Their statement read: "The Premier League 2025/26 season dates have been confirmed, with the opening match round starting on Saturday August, 16, 2025.

"The final match round will be played on Sunday May, 24, 2026, when all matches will kick off simultaneously as usual. The 2025/26 season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds.

"The schedule continues to allow more rest time for players over the festive match-round period, with no two rounds taking place within 60 hours of each other. This is in keeping with commitments made to clubs to address the congested Christmas and New Year schedule.

"The start date of 16 August allows for the maximum player rest time available – 83 clear days – from the end of the 2024/25 season.

"The season end date of May, 24, 2026 ensures the Premier League season finishes ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period. There will be no fixture on December, 24, 2025."
